Some survey-taking gentleman turned up on our doorstep a week or two ago.
He was very proud of his identification badge.
He showed it to me more than once during the course of our conversation.
He said that he wanted to come if for half an hour or so, and I had to answer some questions from the audit office.
I said I didn't want to.
He said I had to.
I said I didn't.
He said "didn't you get a letter?".
I said "yes. I still don't want to".
He said "ok".
Then he spent ten minutes telling me how he was retired, and doing this work so he could take his grandchildren on holiday, and he knew it was difficult finding time to fill in surveys when you had a family at home, and how he liked my honeysuckle, and he wondered where I got it from, and did my son's bike come from Halfords.......
He should have been filling my answers in on his form, really.
He would have made a mint.
