My Dh has just accepted a job at High Wycombe. He is only moving building , but has been down there unaccompanied . We were meant to move to Medmenham Jan 07 but, events overtook us and I am still near Lincoln, so I need to know whats the low down on MQ's etc TIA

NO , my Dh is in the RAF.
As far as I am aware the MQ's for HW are at Bradenham beeches,Wlters ash and Medmenham .
We would not try Medmenham again as it will bring back too many memories of last year. Also the school there is massively over subscribed

My sisters DH did a double tour at Medmenham, the boys went to the local school. They also lived at Walters Ash, I can't remember visiting her there, so she must have only been there a short while. I'll ask her, she is in Saudia Arabia now and has been for 5 years.

My DC's used to like going to Medmenham to visit because of the freedom of playing in the woods on bikes! What was wrong with it. She was in MQ's. ( Mt sis and I were RAF brats too. but lived mostly in Malta and Ireland)

Nothing wrong with Medmenham as such, it was the year we were having .Trying to move there would just bring back all the memories.
We even got a phone call on the day of my Dads funeral from DHE to say you need to hurry up and decide if you are doing this move or not very thoughtful NOT

We are at Innsworth and all the RAF have moved to High Wycome over the last year. They all seemed quite pleased with their new qtrs! But I don't know the specifics of the different areas. However, there are several families who are staying here and doing weekly commuting because they prefered the schools here - especially those who would have had to send children to the secondary in Princes Risborough did not move for that reason.

flossie64 · 18/05/2008 10:58

I don't have the Secondary school problem , my DD is only in reception.
I hope to God that he will not get a 3rd posting there , or I will never get to see my new arden room which is 2-3wks away from being finished.
We Did joke they would they would just get the foundations dug out and we would be posted, not far wrong were we
