Hi there, I was just wondering how the move to Halton went.......and if you can give me the low down on the local area!!!!

hya mcdreamy, sorry i havent got back to you, the move went fine, house was a complete shambles when we marched in, the area is great loads to do and see, dhe are useless here, so dont expect too much when you march in, overall apart from dhe i am having a great time so far, my ds is settled into school and is loving it, if you need anything let me know, when are you posted in

I think I'll moving in during the summer holidays but tbc!!! Which school did you get your DS into?

I have an appointment to visit Halton Combined and John something school in Wendover a week on monday (coming back to the UK for 2 weeks on Friday - yay!!).

I will certainly be on your case for information over the next few weeks I'm sure.

hya, i have got my son into weston turville school as the halton combined school was full up, my dh forgot to mention that wendover and halton were beside each other, otherwise i would have looked into the john collack(i think thats what it is called), weston turville is about 2 miles from where we live and so far the school has been fantastic, if you need anything just give me a shout my email address is [email protected] or if you want to give me a ring or pop in when you are over just let me know, i will be away tomorrow (friday)until monday

I'm not sure. DH is posted there from beginning of Jan. I need to sort out moving job (not too big a deal), and I need to sort out renting our house out. It needs a bit of work done, some new windows, new boiler that kind of stuff.

I hoped we could be there at Easter. But I also need to sort childcare, schools, and MQs - and I have never lived in MQs before and have no idea how long that takes

Get your paperwork in for an MQ asap would be my recommendation. The schools around here have a good reputation. What years are you looking for places in?

DS1 is 19 and is in the process of applying to join

DS2 is 9

DD is 2.3

I will badger DH to get forms.

What are the MQs like there (he is non-comm)

They are ok. Have got the workmen coming round tomorrow for minor repairs we found on moving in. The biggest thing is the heating. In order to get my radiators to radiate ANY heat the thermostat need to be at about 29 - which isn't right and is going to cost us a fortune. Anyway they are coming round to check it all over tomorrow and of course that might just be my house.

Generally a nice area. My patch/road is very very quiet but I just need to get off my backside and explore a bit.

Hey Sugababe (Wallaroo here, managed to get my old name back) you're back!!! I'm at MH at the top of the hill. I've met up with BennyandJoon quite a few times now down at the soft play area! Where are you? We usually meet up on a Friday morning around 10 ish with a big emphasis on the ish!!!
