Merchant Navy partners

Hey everyone. My long term partner is in the Merchant Navy. For a while now I've wanted to start a community of people whose partners are in the MN. To chat casually/just have a space to vent, rant, laugh or cry about life while your MN partner works away - whether it's two weeks or months away.

I've no idea where to start, then found this thread. If you'd be interested in joining (probably a private Facebook page or something like that to begin with), please do let me know.

My pipe dream is for a podcast on similar matters, but that's a long shot 😅

I'm married with a six year old and my husband is a Chief Officer in the Merchant Navy. He's been in for year's since the age of 17. I've been looking to chat to other partners in a similar situation for ages so would love to join a FB group. Funny you should mention a podcast I was thinking the exact same thing the other day. I enjoy listening to the Padwives Assemble podcast and was thinking a similar thing for MN partners would be amazing especially as there dint seem to be many communities around.x
