CILOCT - does any one know?

..if this is paid every month, or do we get a break as for CTAX in the UK, i.e. not pay in Feb and March? Am a bit shocked as we are paying more in CILOCT than we would if we were in our place in Cornwall.

Yes, I've just unearthed the pay statements. At £4.71 per day that's £1719.15. My CTAX for my house in Cornwall in a band E is £1679 for 2008-09 and I thought that was steep!

bugs the hell out of me because the council wont fix our roads which are full of pot holes and fail to empty our bins on a regualar basis.

Pisses me off too as we live in Belgium and I'm beginning to think we are paying more than the actual local tax would be here.

It annoys me even more when the rest of the population assumes that we don't have to pay cTax at all

I think we're in a grade 2...but the x-factor goes up substantially for Cdrs/Lt-Cols/Wing Cdrs, as it has been tapered before, to reflect the time this rank now spends away on ops. Have a look at the Army MOD site and work out what the pay rise is. I was very pleasantly surprised even after tax and NI is taken off.

How do you get a grade 1? I think the 2stars are in those out here. However, having discovered what this would have cost to rent privately (gulp), we get a good deal with the bills thrown in.

Well DH is Army, and we managed to get a Grade 1 by being posted to a RAF base! Again, I took the figures I quoted from the AFF magazine, so cannot vouch for their accuracy!
