Hello, does anyone get childcare vouchers? I've had alook on the Sodexho website, it should save us around £50 per month on nursery costs. Is anyone doing this and if so how long did it take to get it up and running?

will be watching this, my childcare costs vary every month just now but are roughly £150. this will end in june so i dont see the point in doing it till then.

i am hoping to go back to uni in september so can see the childcare costs shooting up.

Hi kerryk, you might find the following link interesting. There's a calculator on Sodexho's link which tells you how much you could save. Think we will do it its just a case of how long it will take to set up!HTH

we are in the process of putting the forms in. Sodexho have said that it should be p and running for us by the next pay packet.

Should save us about £100 to £150 a month

Hi I'm a CM, and recieved my 1st Sodexo vouchers yesterday for all my parents.

We were expecting them for last month, but didnt happen, but they came through this month ok.

All 6 of my parents use them, some claiming for both parents.

kerryk · 03/02/2008 17:46

shoshe can people refuse to accept the vouchers if they wanted to. do you think they are going to easy enough for everyone to use.

shoshe · 03/02/2008 20:26

Yes it is up to the childcare provider to accept them or not, I have never really had any probs with taking them. I already take Accor ones anyway.

Only thing is I usually get paid on the 1st of the month, but the vouchers dont get into my bank till about the 5th.

I had to change some of my Direct Debits at the bank, by a few days.

Although, the vouchers (if one parent is using them) is only a quarter of the payment and parents, pay the remainder on the 1st.

It can be a big chunk tho if both parents claim it, about half, which obviously if there is any problems would leave me very short.

Kerryk - the vouchers are valid for 18 months so you can start taking them now and use them when you need them. Paying less tax must be worthwhile!

Our nursery accept vouchers from all sorts of providers and already have a client ID with Sodexho.
