Anyone know anything about allowances??

DH is posted on a 6m unaccompanied tour to the USA - does anyone know what allowance he might receive - he's not around to ask at the mo..

he gets separation allowance which i think is something like £5 a day. dont think they get anything else though but not 100%

i would think he would get lssa and the new tax relief thing that they brought in.

do you not just get seperation allowence when you are living apart as in at 2 diffrent home address which is diffrent to a six month tour.

The new tax relief bonus/bounty only applies to operational tours to Iraq and Afghanistan IIRC.

According to my husband (who used to work at the APC), he'll get council tax relief, local overseas allowance and - possibly - LSSA. He can confirm all this with his RAO.

What service is he in?
