Posting packages to BFPO addresses

Hope someone in this board can help. I'm selling some baby clothes on Facebook and someone has asked if I would post to BFPO. I don't know if I'm being daft but why wouldn't I? It seems there's a weight / size limit and a customs form to fill in. Apart from that what else is different? Do you get the same level of cover in case of it going missing as with normal Royal Mail?

Needs to,be about shoebox sized and weight less than 1kilo for free postage service to deployed units. If weighs more split goods and send two lots. Cheaper even if not on 'active list'. Google BFPO for full details.
