Has anyone ever got a diagnosis for ASD for their child through the army?

Hello, we are seeking a diagnosis for DS (7) for aspergers. The NHS route is taking too long and we suspect that his support system will be much better once he has an official diagnosis.

DH is in the army and we keep being told that we can seek a diagnosis for DS through the army. How does this work? Does anyone have any info with regards to this?

Thank you.

I would pop into your welfare office and ask them if they ca Nutella you find out. They look after you and your children as dependents, as well as your serving DH so if they can help, they will and if not, they will be able to direct to who can.
Hope this helps. (Ex army wife)
