Dp on ops, on a base not a war zone. Can i send ale out? There isn't any out there, only lager etc in the mess.

No, alcohol is on the list of exclusions (all excisable goods are).

Here is a list of restricted and prohibited items

I've found that sweeties go down well, as does chilli sauce. Also preferred brands of toiletries (the smells of home) and silly novelty puzzles. Good coffee.

Sorry, ignore some of that - weaker ones are OK, unless there's a specific restriction for the destination.

But unless a free post destination, it's expensive to send (because of the weight).

I wouldn't send as a good chance it will smash in transit and ruin everything else also
Sweets, card games, shaving soap, new book, letters, photos, nice snacks

Car magazines, sweets, not chocolate if hot destination, smellies (not sure about aerosols), pictures from family, a newspaper if he hasn't got wifi, chuff chart.
