Parental consent

Married to dh and dss with us 24/7, no mum around. School only send information to dh as he has parental consent and I don't. Not an issue at the moment as he is around but will be when deployed . Has anyone been in this position. Are there any other consequences for not having parental consent?

Your DH ought to be able to authorise the school to deal with you on routine matters (schools do this all the time with grandparents etc)

It gets harder for anything non-routine, the important one being able to give consent for medical procedures (routine or emergency).

Where is DSS's mother? Has your DH spoken to a solicitor about acquiring PR for you?
