Until DH goes off to the sandpit for eight months. I hate goodbyes. And deployment.

Mines been there 2 months now. First deployment so its quite hard for both of us. Not enjoying it but at least I can look forward to him coming home (not that I know when that will be!) Good luck with it :)

I found the last 24 hrs together the very hardest part. Am six weeks from the end of a 7 month tour now. Be very kind to yourself and wallow if you need to. It's the hardest part of army life, hope it goes quickly Thanks

I'm guessing he will have left by now, time wise. I hope he got away ok and the first few days go ok for you all. It's never easy. In the middle of DH's fourth deployment to said sandy place at the moment, and it the goodbyes never get better. But, once he's gone, at least you are on the way to home again. Thinking of you. Take it easy and look after yourself.
