He is in Navy and deploying soon. He's done this trip before. Last time he took a weeks leave when they were in dubai and I traveled out. We booked a hotel etc.
He was talking about it with someone that has also done same trip before and he said that he claimed a daily allowance to cover his accommodation and meals etc last time. Apparently as long as you have your leave in then too can do it. Dh will be put in hotel anyway whenever ship is along side as he doesn't have a 'room' as there aren't enough to go around.
Has anyone heard of this?
