When does it get easier?

My husband is being posted on Monday ?. When does it get easier? I feel like my heart breaks every time he leaves :-(

Hello clumsy - my husband has been on detatchment for 9 weeks. He is doing 6 months. I am beginning to feel at breaking point. I have to stop myself thinking about it becuase I start to panic at the next 5 weeks. He will be home for r and r and then back out until April/ May.

How long is he going for? Whereabouts are you living? Have you done this long before?
