I thought I'd drop in to say farewell.

I'd found myself posting less and less already, so I know this won't make much difference, and perhaps if I didn't make this rather self-centred post, I doubt you'd notice.

Two things in the last week: first the introduction of the "link" button to FB (which MNHQ kindly agreed should be removed from this forum, though I expect I wasn't the only poster who contacted them to request the removal). But then, I spotted on a military-themed thread in a different forum, a poster saying that the thread would be copied and forwarded to third parties.

This, and my own faux pas, have made me realise that it is no longer right for me to post in an avowedly military linked way.

Hence no alternative but to say farewell.

I'm not flouncing from MN totally, and will probably lurk and reappear with a new name. Which is a pity, as was rather fond of this one (as it is an abbreviation of an apt description on ArRSe).

mpsw - why was the link being forwarded to 3rd parties? What was it about?
