Well hi there, Title says it all really but I shall elaborate. My name is Hayley, I am 21 and I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant with my first (little boy) and so excited about becoming a mum! What goes with it of course is moving in with my partner, I was all okay to be moving up until I realised I still know nobody, I know nothing about the lifestyle there, and from what i've read on here you all seem so lovely and happy wherever you've settled with your partners, So I guess i'm just looking for some advice. What do I do to get 'out there' and meet the other mums, make friends i've no idea. I move on sunday, And really am terrified. I know i'll be a bit pre-occupied once little'un arrives but for my own sanity I think it'll be best to get to know someone! Anyone else from the area even?
Xxxx

so if you're not married, I guess you're not living in a 1/4? That of course would make it easier to make friends, having an 'all in it together' type situation but there's still loads you can do to get to know people.

Is there an ante-natal swim class in the area, NCT classes where you woudl go with your partner and meet a small group of other parents to be.

I'm sure that once the baby is born, you'll be able to find loads in the local area - from tots groups to swim classes etc.

Pop to your local HIVE and ask there how you can meet new mums/make new friends.
