the only time I will want my DH to stay longer

DH in Afghan and he's worked out that his flight home now takes him to 201 days in theatre. If he was there one more day he would get around £2000 more... am I terrible for thinking 'ooh hope he gets to stay one more day' Luckily he doesn't go out on patrols so he is pretty safe. I feel so bad for thinking it but it would come in mighty handy!

Is that right? Just asked DH and he says it's a per diem rate so there wouldn't be a cut off like that. Maybe he's saving it to buy you something nice.....

I think it is an extra big bit to op bonus if you do 202 days or more. He will still get a bit extra if you get what I mean but that one is for doing longer in theatre. Not sure if that makes sense. Unfortunately if he did get it it wouldn't go on anything nice apart from paying the credit cards off post wedding/buying house
I could think of lovely lots of nice things though....like a weekend at a Spa minus child and dog!

Would it count if the flights were delayed by one day? DH has never got home on time!

Is this his first tour? Are you coping ok? It's a shame about the money, but I hope the time flies by for you.

He seems to think so but he'll probably be on the only flight that leaves there on time LOL
Not his first tour but first one married to me. I'm doing okay as live near family and friends. I have found it very hard at times as I am off sick and miss him heaps. I also miss him cooking all the time while I sit on my butt

Ours are all being delayed returns until the last possible moment before extra randr and pay is needed.
