Talking about "tide" of lack of morale, cumulative nature of cuts (on all allowances but presenter trying to turn it all on CEA); and noticeably the number and type of respondents (serving personnel, as well as families, many talking of leaving).

BTW, I'm not claiming our mates are a representative sample, but what she's saying rings true with what I've been hearing about the place - even from young singlies.

I did snort into my coffee this morning about morale being low in Army families - obviously us in the navy and RAF don't have low moraleGrin. I know the report was done by the Army families people, but it would have been good if they had got feedback from all branches of the armed forces.
I could write them a book Smile.
I think as well, it's not just the possible loss of allowances that is making morlae low, there are a lot of other things. IMO anyway

This isn't going to help!

The AFF is doing a major survey, si I can see why they had an Army focus this time. But I see exactly what you mean about the irritation when they say "Army" when they mean "Armed Forces". But despite being ever more purple, is there a body who speaks for all? There is SSAFA, but this isn't really their thing, is it?

There is no one body that speaks for all as far as I can see - maybe we should form the MN Purple forum and take on the role!

My db says that all the things that made it worth while being 'in' have gone, and dh agrees with him. We only have 3 years (well a fortnight less than that really) until dh has to retire, and I don't think he will be sorry, which is sad, as he has been in since he was 18 and has had a great career.

scary - DH says the same. he even went as far last night and said that the "respect for rank" has gone too. Especially , in his opinion between sac/cpl and their lack of respect for WO/Flt Sgt/Sgt.
