Sugarpaste - How much gum tragacanth?!

Hello,

I am making some roses and have 100g of sugarpaste (shop bought ready made). I would like to add some GT to it so as I can roll it thinner but am not sure how much. I have googled but only get amounts for 250g of paste.

Anyone help? What is the worst that would happen if I over-added it?

Thanks.

if you have the amounts for 250g you can work out the amount for 100g (or post amounts here and someone can work out)

...or am I missing something obvious !

Need about half a tsp.

But the amount is a teaspoon for 250g of paste so a 1/5th teaspoon for 100g which is about 1g and I cannot measure that small. I only have the one block of colour so don't want to add it until I know that if I am 'out' it will not matter!

The colour is really difficult to get hold of and my local cake shop only had the one pack left.

Thanks, nancydrewrocks will that definitely work? I make that about 2.5g

Sorry, bad math moment. 100g for a 5g teaspoon is 2g so only .5 out if wrong. (pregnancy brain!)

OK. Will try the half teaspoon. Maybe just a tiny bit less to be sure.
