Hello my little girl is 3 almost 4 and I have invited her best friend over for tea for the first time. Any great ideas for dinner for the little ones and the mother. Any great ideas would be appreciated, thank you.

Baby new potatoes, quiche and salad.

I'd be tempted to do tiny quiches in jam tart trays, so that they seem more manageable to the little ones.

And the salad for the little ones would be cucumber and carrot sticks plus baby tomatoes. I'd make a proper leaf salad for the adults, with a mustardy dressing.

Or homemade pizzas and salad.

Nice fruit plus cheese cake for pud (fruit and icecream for the children).

really janeite. I don't think I've ever met a 3yo who would eat quiche! (and DS1 has always been know as a great eater)

I'd do something with pasta (and maybe salad served as janeite suggests) and would probably check with mum first as it's the first time.

Really? I've met lots! The mini ones are much more user-friendly than a slice from a big one though!

Thanks for tips, my baby loves quiche and new potatoes. Anyway my 3 yr old and her friend enjoyed themselves and I learnt not to serve food before they had time to play as it was left uneaten anyway lol. Thank you for replying, I am new to site x
