Hi all, I'm due for a c-section in just under 3 weeks and am looking for freezer food inspiration as dp will already have his hands full with 2 dd's, puppy, housework etc and I'm doing nothing at home at the mo so might as well cook in prep. Have spag bol, sheppards pie and stew as thoughts so far...

Anyone have any other ideas? Thank you in advance

damn you have all my thoughts! lol

um, how about
fish pie
chilli
various soups

maybe just phone your friends and tell them not to buy you anything but just to bring a meal round?

Lasagne? Curry? Chilli Con Carne?

Good luck!

Good luck with the baby, not with cooking the meals btw!

mousaka? Can't think of any other than those mentioned! We have a cauli cheese in the freezer but yet to get it out so wouldn't like to vouch for it's freezeability! Also get in some tins, such as beans or chick peas that can easily become a salad or go with pasta etc. Jars of anti pasti type things are good for this too. Cook pasta, chuck some grilled peppers and chick peas on, olive oil, season, yum.

Good luck, again, with baby rather than cooking!

Curry is a good 'un.
Lasagne.
Bolognese type sauce - can be used to make a cottage pie or as a base for chilli con carne.

To be honest, I would buy the best ready meals you can get (M&S are decent) and stock up on those.

Good luck!

Thanks guys, I seem to be stuck on the variety of mince dishes with pasta/potato/rice. Can't go wrong and can cook up the pasta/potato with little effort. Off to tesco online to order ten ton of mince then . And thank you for the good luck wishes, exciting times
