Or should I be cursed with a terrible curse for even entertaining getting something that isn't Marmite!!

And anyway. Part of the joy of marmite is the jar, buying a cheap jar is missing the point.
mil buys asda own. It tastes like pure evil.

OH GOD I'M TORN!!!!

What to do what to do

Think it'd be wrong for me to open a jar and sample it?

It is MUCH cheaper (on a budget here!)

BUY ONE AND SEND IT TO MEEEEEEEEEE!

(I would send a 'proper' jar of Marmite in return)

Buddjela · 01/07/2010 10:09

No bother BosomsByTheSea - though I am in treland and the postage will probably be more than the jar!!!

There as a time when my local tesco stopped stocking Marmite full stop.

It was a very trumatic time

Make that Ireland - I'm not living in a country yet to be discovered by the rest of the world

I am on a budget too, we make exceptions for marmmite

Buddjela · 01/07/2010 10:21

I think you are right QT - I had this dilemma two days ago and I went for marmite

I thought I'd ask for next time I had to buy more marmite - but the whole rath of the marmite gods and everything.

DH however is not allowed to buy brand on anything he likes. Just me.

The onyl things we buy branded are marmite and lavazzo coffee!

Tesco or Asda own brand Yeast Extract much nicer than either Vegemite or Marmite, imo - I was brought up on them. Problem is, I think it's more a matter of what taste you're used to.
