Just choose whatever recipe you would like and adjust the quantities accordingly?

I'm looking at my cake book, which says:

For a 12in round tin use 2.5 times the quantities you would normally use for an 8in round cake. (on the basis that's the most common size)

The book also gives Madeira quantities for 12in round as 850g butter, caster sugar and SR flour, 425g plain flour and 15 eggs. Bake 2-2.25 hrs at 160C, GM3.

Sorry - been away!

I've got Celebrate with a Cake by Lindy Smith. My mum gave it to me, and I'm completely intimidated by most of what she does in it! However, it does give some really useful instructions for lots of aspects of cake decorating, which I hvae been able to adapt.

I have only discovered the website this week, and am looking forward to making my first ever cake topper this week!
