Anyone got a nice cake recipe using fresh cherries?

I've got a load of fresh cherries that need eating up, and I thought a cherry cake would be nice.

But do you normally use glace cherries for cakes? Could you use fresh cherries?

If not, what else can I do with them?

If I was making a cake I would use glace cherries but fresh could work too.

Thanks for the suggestions, in the end I found this recipe - cake is just cooling down now.

I'll report back later as to how it tasted
