does balsamic vinegar go off?

presumably not but thought I'd better check before using a bottle that's about five years old on my strawberries!

No, I don't think it does. You can get very expensive 10yo balsamic vinegars. Taste a little bit.

tastes ok so will work on the basis that I probably wont give anyone food poisoning by using it.

Any idea how much I should put on strawberries. Presumably not much?
