Lunch thank you for preschool staff

My youngest child is about to leave preschool for kindergarten and the preschool building she was in is being demolished to make a new one. Whilst this is going on, the unit is being moved around to different venues, at much stress to the staff.

They've done such a great job with my DC, I thought it would be nice to do them some lunch next week, as they move into temporary accommodation. They don't all work on the same day, so am doing it over 2 days.

As the weather is nice, I was thinking salad-y things, maybe a tabbouleh type thing, a fishy one, a chicken y one too? Maybe with some nice bread? I was also going to make a cake.

Any thoughts or ideas for what would be good?

BBQd chicken thighs
Cold wedges of Spanish tortilla
Smoked salmon sandwiches
Cheesecake

How lovely.
Do they know you are doing this?

I once made my lot a big plate of canape type things.

moondog - They do know. I checked with one of them who I know to see if it would go down OK.

I like your idea of smoked salmon sandwiches, maybe I could do open ones with a dill/creme fraiche thingy on.

Canapes are also a good idea. Which ones did you do?

Doesn't sound as if you are crap at all!
A good tabbouleh is a source of joy.
