How long does milk take to defrost?

I have frozen milk for the first time and need it to be defrosted for tea time on Friday. When should I take it out of the freezer and put it in the fridge? I presume Friday morning is too late, so Thursday night before bed? Is that enough time?! I have no clue! It's a 2 pint thing of milk. Please help!!

I would have thought that first thing friday morning would be fine, BUT I wold er on the side of caution and get it out when I went to bed on Thursday night.

I know if you get it out the night before it is defrosted for breakfast... just trying to work out the hours that takes..

Ages! Good couple of days.

I tend to put my frozen milk into a sink of cold water and shake it a few times during the defrosting process. Still takes 24hrs.

Mine is the 4pt size so that would increase the time.

I freeze 2 pint ones every week and as tibni says, leave in the sink for 24 hours. Don't refrigerate to defrost as this would take longer and is unnecessary.

tbh I'd take it out now, and then stcik it the fridge tomorrow am. then you know its there. once defrosted it'll be fine for a few days.
