dumb question about smoothies

I have frozen fruit, yogurt, juice, oats.
Do I need to defrost the fruit- berries or do I just bung it in the blender with the rest of the ingredients?

depends how cold you like it, and how strong your blender is. we just chuck it all in though.

Just bung them in.

You don't need to, but it will make it smoother if you defrost it a bit. I tend to half-defrost raspberries when I use them from the freezer. Another tip is to whizz the fruit up first, then add the yogurt, juice etc afterwards - makes for a much smoother smoothie.

thank you will half defrost them i think. Crave smoothies and nachos at the moment... not together though!

What do you sweeten them? will a bit of orange juice do? or honey?

Orange juice is usually fine. Depends on what fruit you use. Fave in our house is banana, peach (in pots - fresh too fiddly) and raspberry (frozen) with plain greek yogurt and orange juice. Plenty sweet for us!
