Best baked cheesecake recipes anyone?

For an 11 inch tin preferably. It's for my dad's 60th on saturday.

Nigella's London Cheesecake is amazing (though I don't bother with the bain marie which is a bit of a faff).

Agree nigella's london cheesecake - I do do the bain marie, but have never tried without.

Here it is - the only thing I find is sometimes the topping isn't really enough - you might want to make 1.5 - 2 times the quantity of the sour cream topping.

I was coming on to recommend La Lawson too. I do the bain marie thing - it's really no bother.

I must admit I haven't tried any other ones, but this recipe forBaked Lemon Cheesecake is fab - made it at the weekend for guests and everyone loved it.

Rainbow Cafes Chocolate Chilli Cheesecake. It's divine . I got the recipe from Cook Vegetarian magazine, but have found it here (it's in the first review that comes up).

My friends keep begging me to make it again, even the non-dessert lovers!

Yet another London Cheesecake gal here. I got veritable gasps of wonder at one dinner where I produced it - it's a marvel. And not at all difficult, even the bain marie no bother really.

another vote for nigella's london cheesecake here but to make it extra nice it's worth making with choc chip cookies instead of digestives
