BREAD DISASTER!!

Well, ok not a disaster but a bit of a pain...

my dough is too soft - I managed to add too much water whilst making it.

I have just completed the econd rise and it is still a bit on the soft side.

Can I bake it at a lower temperature and hope it dries out, or will it just come out soggy?

Blast it in a very hot oven and hope for the best!

Baking it at a lower temp will not cook it properly but I'm not sure why....

make it into smaller breads? bung some roasted veg or cheese on top for flatbreads??

wahwahwah · 15/06/2010 15:04

Oh, I put it in at 180 (usually 200) and it looks ok. I baked it a little longer and it is now sitting on its head in the cooling overn with the door open.

The proof of the pudding, as they say.

I made raspberry jam last night - want some to go with your bread?

wahwahwah · 15/06/2010 15:09

I love raspberry jam! It is my second favourite. Apricot is my absolute favourite but I am too lazy to make it!

Anyone got any fresh butter?

Re-knead it and sprinkle on extra flour? Give it a third rise
