mango . . . .

My 3yo dd has just this morning announced that she no longer likes mango. Am a bit about this as it's always her who pesters to go get one (on the bus) from Asda as it's the closest place to me that sells them so far as I know.

Now I have a mango sat in the fruit bowl doing nothing and am a bit to see it go to waste after trekking all the way to flipping asda for it. . . . what can I do with it that's a bit grown up, for myself?

Please don't suggest smoothies or milkshakes as my blender is knackered & I haven't got a stick blender to use either as my dp killed it the other week doing mashed spuds

Thai mango salad.. chop finely, together with finely sliced red onion/shallot. Dressing of fish sauce, lime and some sugar (garlic/chili optional).. yum

Works best is mango is underripe

It's quite ripe. She doesn't have the patience to wait for it to ripen up normally so tend to pick one that is quite ripe.

That'll do nicely for lunch tomorrow, great idea. Cheers oricella
