London Restaurants?

We are visiting London next month and will be going out for a meal with my MIL and DH's stepdad and FIL and DH's stepmum. We have no idea where to go, but it needs to be reasonably priced as the in laws will complain otherwise. Anything suggestions for anything except Italian, which sadly FIL won't eat. We are stayingin Regent St.

Thanks, and sorry if this is the wrong section.

From Regent Street you're not far from Chinatown, if they like Chinese. Go to Gerrard Street - it's really picturesque. Or, for English food at a reasonable price with a lovely 20s/30s atmosphere try Browns on St Martin's Lane about ten minutes walk from regent street - just the far side of Leicester Square. They do pies and salads as well as lots else, and there are potted palms, old fashioned ceiling fans, piano players. It has a lovely atmosphere.

Your in-laws sound like a barrel of laughs!

How about somewhere in Covent Garden like Le Deuxieme?

There's also a Cote

Joe Allen is fun and not as expensive as you might think

And Christopher's is a great setting.

Agree with Browns too - def. good value.

Go to www.toptable.co.uk there are lots of 2 for 1 offers or early bird menus, you can go to a very upmarket restaurant and it needn't be expensive
