Just for a giggle I will share mine:
Christmas 3 years ago. The business was doing well and my mum was coming up for the holiday period. As we hadn't seen her for a while I thought of a seafood christmas dinner as mum is a lover of seafood.
So I thought I would splash out and get Lobster. At £10 eah and four of them it was still cheaper than a turkey. I got scallops, prawns, all sorts of stuff.
I spent 2 months planning it from the starter on Christmas Day all the way through to dessert on New Years Eve.
Well, everything arrived 2 days before xmas so I started on the dressing and everything else that could be done in advance.
Xmas Day, I spent all day in the kitchen with my mum, cooking, cleaning, playing with the kids, preparing dinner, cleaning the lobster.
Did anyone eat it?
NO. The lobster was overcooked, the scallops were horrible, the kids have stuffed themselves with the sweets mum kept handing out to keep them out of the kitchen and mum and I were too tired.
The Sparks then decided to tell me that he didnt like lobster or scallops. Why tell me after I had cooked it? Why not ages ago before I ordered it?
As it can not be cooked again, in the bin it went.
I'm sticking to Lamb, it's cheaper and we all like it and it can be just be bunged in the oven.
What is your dinner disater?
