Desperate for recipe for zuppa inglese

I had a delicious chocolate custard pudding (which I think was called zuppa inglese) at somebody's house but could not get a definitive recipe out of them (intellectual property and all that!). Anyone got one they don't mind sharing withme? DH 40th coming up and the only pud I've seen him really tuck into (even though he's not got a sweet tooth).really appreciate any help

zuppa inglese is just Italian for custard, isn't it? I always thought so anyway.

Was it just chocolate custard or more of a mousse thing?

Try this website for a lot of different recipes from various areas of Italy. At least one has chocolate in it.

It seemed to be layers of vanilla and chocolate custard with a hint of cake or soaked savourdi biscuits not sure, didn't linger long enough in my mouth to fully investigate! Thanks thumbwitch I'll check out website.
