Anyone know how they mix their icing? The icing on them always tastes much nicer than when I try to make them at home!!

They tend to use fondant icing, the same stuff they put in their iced buns and everything else. As I recall it contains glucose, but it's been a long time since my saturday job at the bakery!

Do you mean the semi transparent glaze type icing?

I think it's a hot water icing - but I can't remember how to do it

If it's fondant icing, then you can get fondant icing sugar in most supermarkets - it's already got whatever the added ingredient is, and you just mix it with water. Dead easy.

I found this recipe for a glaze

Glaze:

3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, softened (optional)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
milk or water

But it's not what I remember
