Need to order strawberries for 200 cream teas next month (sports day) Any ideas how may kilos that equates to? Am thinking of approaching the local pick your own unless anyone has a better idea.

120gms per serving so 1.2kg per 10 servings so 12kg per 100 so 24kg for 200 . I would go for 25kg . Just been to kitchen to weigh out what I think is decent size portion < but I may be a piggy >
Going by supermarket prices thats about £1 a serving for berries only.

That sounds about right but give a few strawberries per person, What are you going to serve? How will you use the strawberries, Could you ask the pick your own farm for a donation [maybe half] and put them as a sponsor on whatever paper work you will have [free advertising for them might help] What is your food budget?

Great idea about the sponsoring. No budget we are just going with the cheapest we can find. Serving with cream along with a glass of Pimms or non alcoholic drink. Price as yet undecided.
