Is quite ripe and yest was warm so popped in freezer for a minute or two to cool down ready for Mango hedgehogs ... just found it now and it's gone 6.

Do I have to chuck it or wait for it to defrost... any ideas what the result will be?

why on earth would you have to chiuck it?!?

Just do the hedgehog thing and eat it frozen, it will be lvoely and cooling. Or let it defrost and eat it.

Allow it to thaw enough so you can peel and cut it, then cut it up and whizz it in the blender - instant mango sorbet. Also nice with banana, papaya, strawberry etc.

yum

Overmy - Was worried v ripe Mango plus freezing would destroy it, or make it massively soggy.

You're both right - I'll be creative! have been lacking in creativity - half term plus heat plus pretending to work too...

I think that's a sorbet you've got on your hands there. How nice

If you wait for it to defrost it will be soggy and may not have a nice texture. But it's still useable. Peel it while it still frozen, cut of chunks with a big knife, roughly chop and return to the freezer spread out on a board. Whenyou want an instant sorbet or smoothie just whizz the frozn chunks in liquidiser or food processor. Yummy! For extra ndulgence add put some liqueur in the freezer too, and add a little when you whizzup the mango, and serve with a dollop of creamy stuff of choice.
