can i use small red onions in a veg curry instead of white ones?

Got a load of small red onions in our veg box this week - was going to make a veg curry but will the red onions be weird? i usually just use white ones.

I use red onions in everything, haven't bought white onions in years

red onions have so much more flavour than the white ones
are also fab eaten raw!!
