brown rice in rice pudding

Really fancy rice pudding only have brown boil in the bag rice would this work?

I don't think so; you really need pudding rice which is the same as risotto rice - very short, fat grains that go creamy when you cook them.

I think with a rice pudding the creaminess comes from the grains releasing starch - as with a risotto.

I doubt boil in the bag rice would work at all, particularly not brown. Sorry!

Glad it worked. Out of interest, what kind of rice did you use? Was it Arborio?

Yep it was. I also had some pudding rice lying around and did another pudding with that.
Both worked equally well I would say.
