What do I substitute sugar for if baking for a diabetic?

Is there something that I can use that is a straight swap for sugar in cake and biscuit recipes and do they taste ok????

You can, I think, bake with some sugar substitutes like Splenda or Xylitol.

I've used Splenda in desserts and other cooking and the taste is fine.
