How long can you keep an iced fruit cake

i have just discovered tucked in the hall cupboard a large teir of my wedding cake from 9 months ago

is it time for the bin or is it edable still

It should be fine - you might need to re-ice it but I am sure it has been tradition to save the top tier of a wedding cake for the baby's christening, which would be longer than 9 months after the wedding (well probably anyway)

i thought it may be im sure its brewed a fair bit my uncle made it and its very alcoholic lol
