Recipies using fresh mackerel

My neighbour has kindly given me some fresh mackerel that their son caught at sea today.
Problem is, what can I do with them?
Any good simple recipies for them?
Thank you.

I would wrap it in foil and bake it with some herbs, salt and white wine. Serve with sauted potatoes and rocket salad and the rest of the bottle of wine. Yum.

Fresh mackerel caught today!

Grill with salt and pepper. Eat.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like fish, DH not too keen or the kids. Think I'd better freeze a couple of them.
At least they were gutted, but I've still got to chop heads off...yuck.

Better get DH to do that

Have you tried mackerel braised in miso? It's very very nice.

Wrap in foil, enclosing a bunch of herbs, slice of tomato, sliced black olive, slice of lemon.

Bake till done (also BBQ very well)

I cook with the heads on, cut off after.
