Can you freeze chocolate chip muffins?

Hi,

I have just made a batch of muffins and have managed to make far more than we need. As opposed to DH eating them all I was wondering if you can freeze them for use at a later date. If so, how long do they keep for and what will the quality be like once they have thawed?

Freeze them straightaway once cool- they will be fine . I freeze muffins all the time, as soon as they are cool.
