Hi
In laws due for Sunday lunch soon - just knocked up a quick jam & coconut tart as a pud option which I know dd will jump on! But, stupidly, didn't check the date on the butter and have just realised it had a best before date of 15th April. Used about 2oz of it as made up the rest of the butter quantity from a new pack and it has been cooked at 180 deg.....but, will it be Ok to eat, don't want dd to be ill. I seem to remember is was more yellow on the outside than the inside - as butter is when it's a bit old, but didn't think and used it anyway. Will it be OK? Thanks

15th April isn't that long ago, I reckon you'll be fine.

Don't tell anyone though, might put them off.
