How do you store your roast chicken?

I always put mine wrapped in a aluminium foil in the fridge. I keep the meat on the bones and don't strip it off.

Next day it ALWAYS tastes like an old cardboard, dry, with this weird fat/bones taste, nothing like the freshly roasted chicken.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a secret? It puts me off doing anything creative with leftovers except for a stock.

In my tummy.

My GM used to put a damp teatowel over the turkey on Christmas night and then cover with foil.

No doubt the Elf and Safety will be along in a minute to tell me that is soooooo wrong.

That would make sense, to keep it moist.

Anyone else? Am just about to put my chicken away and would like it to taste nice tomorrow!

Should I strip the meat off the bones or keep it on?

I strip it and pack it in to a tupperware box in whatever portion I want the rest goes in portion sizes and gets bagged ion the freezer.

I have always wrapped it in foil and then put it back in the cold oven overnight and then stripped in down the next day.

We haven't had any fatal incidents yet
