I make one that uses:
1 cup lentils
1 cup rice
5 cups stock
a chopped onion
whatever other veg you like, chopped or grated (usually carrot, celery)
couple of chopped tomatoes
beaten egg

Cook the lentils, rice and veg in the stock until liquid is absorbed and mixture is cooked. Add in tomatoes ( you can use tinned toms or pasatta if you like. Mix well, season and add some herbs if you have them. Bind with the beaten egg and press into a loaf tin. Bake at 180 for about 45mins to 1 hour util cooked. Let cool slightly in the pan, turn out carefully and slice.

Thank you Stressed!

Are the lentils red ones or brown?

Also, could i make it with brown rice or no? If so, the same way?
