I have made some out of a Rachel Allen book but it was not quite right - a bit icy IYKWIM, although the flavour was good. I think the icyness was caused by it having creme fraiche in it, not just cream. But on the other hand as it is lemon it does not want to be too cloying either..I made the lemon curd to go in it so that's not a problem - seemed easy to be honest and tasted yum. I don't really want to put merangues in it either & a lot of recipes include them. Any offers?
