Cheats cornflake tart anyone?

I have a real craving for cornflake tart, the one with the cornflakes on top with the layer of jam

I don't have the time or inclination to bake the pastry and I cant find anywhere that sells it.

Do you reckon if i did a cheesecake base then put the rest on top it would work and taste ok?

Not sure if that base would be firm enough? Would taste lovely I am sure. Tescos sell ready made sweet and savory pastry that can be frozen and got out when needed rather than bake it. Mmmm I reckon I am going to make some tomorrow - is it shortcrust pastry, jam and cornflakes that have been mixed with sticky syrup then baked? I remember it from school. Remember choclate toothpaste too the best!!!

You have to bake the pastry blind then you add the jam then cornflakes mixed with syrup then you just leave it to set.

Chocolate toothpaste, as in actual toothpaste or is it something else?
