storing cooked kidney beans

DP has made loads and only needs about half the amount for the recipe. can he store them in the fridge or freeze them?

You can freeze them (well I often freeze chile con carne with them in it and am alive )

they are fine to store in the fridge or freezer. They will last a week without being frozen in the fridge. The trick with them if you store them in the fridge is to ALWAYS use a clean spoon to take out a portion as they go off quicker if you don't. (As in you get some out now and then an hour later want to get some more. Use a clean spoon, not the same spoon you used an hour ago.)

if you are keeping them in fridge in water cjhange the water to keep them fresh.id prob freeze them and use them for a recipe later my mum used to make a spicy pate with them ..
