Stiffado

Anyone got a good recipe for stiffado? rick stein did one with rabbit, but I would prefer beef or lamb.

Is it just not a beef stew? Beef soaked in wine overnight?

Yup, stew with your choice of meat. I just brown the meat, chuck in onions, carrots, celery, red wine, and cook for hours...and hours...and hours....chuck in mushrooms and potatoes to make it a one pot job.
Oxo cubes x 2, bit of thyme.

In our house, stifado is stew with cinnamon in it!
